[Satellite Today 11-25-08] T-Home SatTV, Hungary’s newest DTH service, has commenced operations using the Amos-3 satellite, operator Spacecom announced Nov. 25.
    Magyar Telecom, the largest telco in Hungary, is trying to position itself as the leading triple-play company in Hungary. Following the introduction of the nationwide satellite service, Magyar Telecom now offers TV services on three different platforms: cable TV, IPTV and satellite TV.
    T-Home SatTV is the third DTH platform using the Amos constellation, joining Romania’s Boom and Israel’s Yes platforms. "It is always exciting to add another anchor platform to our satellite neighborhood, especially when this anchor is a leading TV platform in Hungary and a part of the leading global telecom group Deutsche Telekom,” Spacecom President and CEO David Pollack said in a statement.
