[Satellite Today 10-28-08] Harmonic Inc., a provider of broadcast and on-demand video delivery solutions, reported net sales of $91.5 million in its third quarter 2008 results, up 11 percent from $82.3 million in the third quarter of 2007, the company announced Oct. 27.
    International sales represented 39 percent of Harmonic’s revenue in its most recent quarter, compared to 46 percent in the same period of 2007.
    “We are pleased with our third quarter operating performance, bookings and momentum moving into the fourth quarter," Patrick Harshman, Harmonic’s president and CEO, said in a statement. "… While the global economic environment creates uncertainty, we remain confident about our strong market position and long-term growth opportunities. Our technology leadership, diverse customer base and operating performance have placed us in an excellent position to further strengthen our competitive position and extend our global customer base."
