[Satellite Today 10-06-08] Serbia Broadband, the largest pay-TV operator in Serbia, is hoping to launch DTH services in other Eastern European markets such as Bosnia and Croatia in the near future.
The operator, which began life as a cable operator, now offers DTH services in Serbia, Montenegro and Slovenia.
“We expect to be able to offer Total TV (its DTH service) very soon to Bosnian and Croatian subscribers,” Dragan Solak, Serbia Broadband’s CEO, told Satellite Today. “Our team is very positive about our regional prospects, and we are putting a lot of effort in further developing the project. It is difficult to say (when the service will launch in these markets), because it is not entirely in our hands. I can say for both Bosnia and Croatia, Serbia Broadband is ready to start almost immediately, but there are some licensing issues and some regulatory issues to be resolved.”
