[Satellite Today 09-22-08] Stratos Global Corp. has rolled out an antivirus program for the maritime satellite market, the company announced Sept. 22.
    AmosConnect Anti-Virus provides onboard protection against intrusion of Internet computer viruses and malicious software in the satellite broadband environment. The program integrates vessel and shore-based office applications such as e-mail, fax, telex, GSM text, interoffice communication and access for mobile personnel into a single messaging system.
    AmosConnect Anti-Virus is designed for use with Inmarsat and Iridium systems and also is available in configurations for land-mobile customers using Inmarsat’s Broadband Global Area Network and aeronautical customers using SwiftBroadband.
