[Satellite Today 09-11-08] Bentley Walker Satellite Services  purchased 1000 licenses of ViaSat‘s AcceleNet wide area network optimization software for the LinkStar satellite networking system and customers of its Star Nova S2 as well as its Star Pro service, ViaSat announced Sept 11.
    ViaSat claims the optimization enables the satellite service provider to increase the capacity of the bandwidth on its network.
    Bentley Walker, based in the U.K., said it is now offering functionality and Web 2.0 applications within the reach of VSAT users, according to its managing director Anthony Walker.
    The total price of the purchase was not disclosed.
