[Satellite Today 09-10-08] OmniGlobe Networks EMEA has become an authorized reseller of Comtech EF Data’s Vipersat network products, OmniGlobe announced Sept. 10.
    Omniglobe said it will start promoting and distributing the Vipersat product line to its customer base, which includes broadcasters, telecom carriers, ISPs, corporate groups, government departments and international non-governmental organizations.
    Designed specifically for network administrators and satellite service providers, the Vipersat Management System is an automated bandwidth, capacity and network management system with configuration automation.
    According to Comtech EF Data, the VMS enables users to configure networks to respond to anomalies, automating the carrier switching and spectrum management processes within the satellite network and allowing single carrier per channel carriers to be switched automatically based on application, load or schedule.
