[Satellite News 09-10-08] Hughes Network Systems LLC launched a new subscriber portal located at MyHughesNet.com, the company announced Sept. 10.
    Synacor has been selected by Hughes to assist in the development of the portal.
    Ron Frankel, CEO of Synacor commented, "The new MyHughesNet.com enables Hughes to differentiate its online offering by providing a personalized experience that consumers will find compelling."
    Hughes said the redesigned site features instant access to e-mail, local news, weather, and other popular applications for all HughesNet subscribers. The new portal is included free as part of a subscriber’s monthly access plan and will be going "live" on Sept. 11.
