[Satellite Today 07-28-08] Pace announced a slight increase in its overall profits for the first half of 2008, according to the company report released July 28.
    The supplier of set-top boxes to satellite pay-TV operators posted profits before tax and exceptional items of 11.2 million British pounds ($22.3 million) for the first half of 2008. In the the second half of 2007, Pace reported profits of £10.6 million ($21.12 million). Revenues in the first half of 2008 were £231.1 million  ($460.4 million), compared to £190 million ($378.6 million) in the last six months of 2007.
    During the most recent six months, Pace shipped high-definition personal video recorders to operators such as Foxtel, Viasat, Sky Italia and Sky New Zealand.
