[Satellite Today 07-22-08] C-Com Satellite Systems Inc. reported second quarter revenues of $1.8 million, an increase of 17 percent from the same period in 2007, the company announced July 22.
C-Com posted a profit of $213,600 in the quarter, which closed May 31, up from a profit of $40,000 in the 2007 second quarter. C-Com said the gains were due to variations in foreign exchange effects in the comparable quarters.
“Our revenue increase and associated profitability in this quarter are due mainly to new sales of the iNetVu Mobile antenna systems to the oil and gas exploration sector as well as to sales into new vertical markets we have established in the Asia-Pacific rim countries,” Leslie Klein, president and CEO, said in a statement. “We are starting to see more and more demand for our iNetVu Mobile antennas in countries like China, India and Pakistan.”
