[Satellite Today – 4-7-08] Intelek subsidiary Paradise Datacom has received a new order for its next-generation satellite modems in Africa, the company said April 7.
    The company has received an order worth $600,000 for its next generation PD10 and PD25 Evolution Series satellite modems from a major GSM operator in northwest Africa. The modems will be delivered to the operator throughout the next three months. The modems will be used to improve voice call quality and provide value added services as well as extend the network’s coverage. Paradise Datacom has been actively involved in the African Satcom market for many years and works with telecoms and wireless operators in many different territories in the region.
