[11-02-07 – Satellite Today] TeleCommunications Systems Inc. posted record revenues of $37.6 million in the 2007 third quarter, up 22 percent from the same period a year ago, the company announced Nov. 1.
"Higher revenue from both commercial and government systems, coupled with steady services revenue in both of our business segments, led to the quarter’s record results," Maurice Tosé, TCS chairman, president and CEO, said in a statement. "TCS has ascended to a new level as a supplier of satcom and wireless systems and services to federal defense and security agencies.”
The company received $38.4 million in government contracts for the quarter, including an Integrated Communications System for the U.S. Marine Corps and a U.S. Department of Defense contract for rapid response capabilities and next generation communications products and systems.
