[11-02-07 – Satellite Today] RRSat Global Communications Network Ltd. third quarter revenues improved by nearly 30 percent, the company announced Nov. 1.
Revenues for the quarter ending Sept. 30 totalled $15 million, up 29.6 percent from the third quarter of 2006, which recorded revenues of $11.5 million. Profits improved from $2 million a year ago to $3 million in the most recent quarter.
"Once again we generated record top and bottom line performance this quarter, fueled by the steady increase in orders for our premier end-to-end distribution and content management services,” David Rivel, CEO of RRSat, said in a statement. “This strong growth, compared to the third quarter last year, was especially significant, as the results last year included a large component of high-margin, non-recurring revenues incurred due to media interest in the regional hostilities in 2006.”
The company’s backlog stood at $137.3 million at the end of September, up $5.2 million during the quarter.
