[10-31-07 – Satellite Today]  MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) reported higher revenues for the third quarter of 2007, the company announced Oct. 30.
    MDA reported revenues of 291.9 million Canadian dollars ($305.7 million), compared to 290 million Canadian dollars ($303.7 million) in the third quarter of 2006. Net earnings also were up, from 20.7 million Canadian dollars ($21.6 million) last year to 23.5 million Canadian dollars ($24.6 million) in 2007.
    Results reported for 2007 have been and continue to be impacted by start-up expenses and other one-time costs related to ramping up the company’s Home Information Pack business and the strengthening Canadian dollar, the company said in a statement.
