[09-25-07 – Satellite Today] Universal Space Network Inc. will add two new antennas to ground stations in Hawaii and Australia, the company announced Sept. 19.
The Hawaii ground station will receive another 13-meter S- and X-band system that will double the capacity of the station, the company said. The antenna will provide redundancy for customers be available for operations in June.
The company’s Western Australia station will receive a 7.3-meter X-band system to compliment the 13-meter system already in operation. Both systems can be used by commercial and government customers and will be remotely operated from the company’s network management centers in California and Pennsylvania.
