[09-10-07 – Satellite Today] MTV is coming to Ukraine, thanks to a deal between Spacecom and MTV Network’s Central and Eastern European subsidiaries, the company announced Sept. 9.

MTV Ukraine is being broadcast to the Ukraine and surrounding region over the AMOS-2 satellite. The company has signed a three-year contract for the distribution of content to cable head-ends throughout the country and the CIS surrounding region and has the option to use the ViaAccess encryption system in uplink stations located throughout the Ukraine.
