Weida Communications Inc. (www.weida.com) received three new contracts to provide satellite communications systems for electric power utilities in China.
The first contract is with the Fuxin Electric Power Bureau, which has ordered 36 new satellite communications terminals for video conferencing and its long-distance training network. The terminals are being used in a pilot project for China’s national electric power agency, which intends to develop a satellite communications network throughout the Liaoning Province.
The second contract is with Nei Mongolia Baotou Electric Power Bureau, which ordered six satellite communications terminals to be used for electric power dispatch.
The third contract is with the Shenyang Extra-High-Voltage Bureau, which ordered nine fixed satellite communications stations and a mobile station.
