Eutelsat Communications and TVN, a broadcaster in Poland and part of Discovery, have signed a multi-year, multi-transponder agreement, renewing capacity at the Hotbird position. This renewed capacity will support TVN’s expansion into digital content, promoting an improved image quality and customer experience.

The contract consolidates TVN’s resources on Hotbird, underpinning a relationship established more than 20 years ago with the launch of TVN Group’s first channel in 1997. TVN’s offer on Hotbird consists of 23 Free-to-Air (FTA) and pay-TV channels, including 11 HD channels, and some flagship lifestyle and Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) channels.
