Eutelsat is launching a new end-to-end managed connectivity service called Advance, tailored to maritime, aviation, enterprise, government, and telecom markets. Advance, announced June 24, includes network interconnection, terrestrial connectivity, Ku- and Ka-band capacity, satellite terminals, and a management portal and APIs for service providers and clients.

The company said it will have offerings tailored to specific markets, including enterprise businesses including energy, construction, banking and retail. Custom backhaul solutions supporting 4G/5G coverage expansion needs and high-speed transmission links are also available. The Advance network uses ST Engineering’s Newtec Dialog platform, and Hughes Network Systems’ ground network system.

Eutelsat Chief Commercial Officer Philippe Oliva commented that this offering was spurred by demand for worldwide connectivity as more businesses move to the cloud.

“Through an innovative portfolio of globally managed services, optimizing and sharing in-orbit resources in Ka- and Ku-bands, terrestrial connectivity, the automation of data connectivity services, and a wide range of offerings tailored to specific markets, Eutelsat Advance enhances our customers’ portfolios of service offerings in their markets,” Oliva said.

Eutelsat has made a number of moves lately to diversify its offerings. The company is investing into its Fixed Broadband segment and Eutelsat Konnect service, and recently invested in Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) operator OneWeb, demonstrating a multi-orbit strategy.
