that, in an effort to help eliminate online child pornography, it will
participate in the URL project launched by the National Center for Missing &
Exploited Children (NCMEC) to fight online child pornography.

As part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by NCMEC and EMBARQ, the
company will block access to Web sites hosted on its network in which NCMEC
has confirmed the presence of content that meets the Federal definition of
child pornography.

the effort to protect the well-being of innocent children," said Nancy
Shelledy, chief privacy officer for EMBARQ. "We contacted NCMEC with the
intent to do our part to eradicate online child pornography."
