[Satellite Today 08-26-08] Thrane & Thrane, a manufacturer of equipment and systems for global mobile communication based on satellite and radio technology, reported a sharp increase in revenues and profits in its results issued Aug. 26.
For the three months that closed at the end of July, the company reported revenues of 296 million Danish krone ($58.7 million), an increase of nearly 20 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
Thrane & Thrane reported an operating profit at 34 million krone ($6.8 million), almost double the 17 million krone ($3.4 million) profit a year ago. The company credited the gains to stronger sales as well as lower distribution costs and administrative expenses.
